the Ki-Atsu Institute for the Healing Arts Training Programs

The Ki-Atsu Institute for the Healing Arts, is a vocational school offering five programs.

  • Master Hypnotist Program
  • Yoga Teacher Training Program
  • Pilates Teacher Training Program
  • Asian Bodyworker Program
  • Neurotransformations Program

The Master Hypnotist Program and the Pilates Instructor Program are open to anyone with a high school diploma or equivalent, who is interested in the course of study. The Master Hypnotist program is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and skills to begin a career as a hypnotist. The Pilates Instructor program is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and skills to start a career as a Pilates Instructor, and to pass the National Certification exam for Pilates Instructors administered by the Pilates Method Alliance.

The Yoga Teacher Training Program is open to anyone over eighteen years of age who is interested in becoming a Yoga Instructor. Graduates of the Yoga Teacher Training Program will be able to register with the Yoga Alliance as an instructor from a 200 hour program.

The Asian Bodyworker Program and Neurotransformations Program are open to all massage therapists. Some of the courses in these programs are open to Yoga and Pilates Instructors, and to the public. The courses are designed to enhance the therapist's knowledge about specific massage modalities. The Asian Bodyworker program is designed to enhance the participant's knowledge of massage modalities that are associated with and originated in the Far East. The Neurotransformations program is designed to enhance the participant's knowledge the mind-body connection and how the body's structure and aberrations are tied to emotional issues in the client's past. The class will teach the participant to assess the client both physically and emotionally, and techniques to address each area.

The classes which make up the Asian Bodyworker and Neurotransformations programs are all approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworkers to provide continuing education credit, thus a student who needs continuing education credit for his or her National Certification renewal can use these classes to fulfill these requirements.

The Ki-Atsu Institute for Healing Arts is a thirty-five hundred square foot facility that features a large area for lecture and practical exercises. The facility also features a full Pilates studio, featuring two Clinical Reformer/Trapeze Table combinations, three Allegro Reformers,Two split Pedal Chairs, two spine correctors, a Ped-o-Pull, a Ladder Barrel, and various other small equipment and resistance bands.

The Institute also boasts a beautiful Yoga Studio, and Healing therapy rooms.
